Acolyte Ministry
Welcome to the ministry of acolytes, an important aspect of the life and ministry of Grace Anglican Church. Acolytes are a part of an old and honored ministry as servants to God and His Church. The word “acolyte” does, after all, mean “attendant or one who serves.” An important duty of an acolyte is to assist the clergy in preparation for the mystery that is the Holy Eucharist. We are called upon to serve at all Sunday services, Christmas, Easter, weddings and funerals. The qualifications for joining the ministry are enthusiasm and willingness to serve and to learn. At Grace Anglican, you must be at least eight years old, baptized or confirmed or on a path to confirmation, and a regular worship service attendee.
